In Botswana the annual zebra migration should be passing through Savuti and also in the Makgadikgadi Pans. The warm weather and calm lake waters makes this one of the best months for Malawi. Birding is great in many places, including South Africa, Peru and Zambia. And Morocco in Autumn is to be recommended.

   • The green season is excellent for birding, and some lodges offer great rates.

   Brazil

   • Iguazu Falls is excellent this month.
   • Southern Right Whales are seen near Praia da Rosa (boat trips).

   Ecuador

   • In the rainforest near Kapawi it is good for caiman, capybara, pink dolphins.
   • Clay licks tends to be well-visited.

   Galapagos

   • Giant Tortoises start hatching until about April.
   • Visibility improves for snorkellers and divers.

   Malawi

   • One of the best times to visit Malawi (warm weather and calm lake).

   Morocco

   • The climate in Morocco is cool yet tends not to be cold, making it a good time to visit.

   Nepal

   • Excellent month for trekking.
8. 

   Peru

   • A good month for seeing Cock of the Rock birds.
9. 

   South Africa

   • Land-based whale watching off the Cape (mostly Southern Right Whales).
   • This is a good birding month in South Africa.
10. 

    Zambia

    • One of the best months for South Luangwa. 
    • Walking safaris available.
    • The Busanga Plains in Kafue NP are accessible.
    • Good time for rafting at Victoria Falls.
    • Summer migrant birds in South Luangwa.
    • This is the green season, so there will be rain, though this can be one of the most beautiful months in Zambia.
