The Dead Sea
Back
The shores of the Dead Sea are the lowest land point on earth at 400 metres below sea level. The salty waters are legendary for their healing properties and this is a great place to relax on the beach or go for a float! The high salt content of the Dead Sea (around 30%) kills off any chance of marine life, hence the name. Water evaporates from the surface of the Dead Sea at over an incredible million litres per day, which causes a thick overhead haze, muffling normal noise levels. This is therefore a wonderfully peaceful place to just chill out and relax.
