  1. Addo Elephant Park

    Addo Elephant Park is a large park close to Port Elizabeth. As well as the elephants, it is now also a Big Five park, and home to kudu, eland, buffalo, red hartebeest, black rhino and many bird species.

  2. Akagera National Park

    Rwanda's main national park is the 'East Africa' of the country, though more specialised in the type and number of species. It provides a great mix of activities and scenery when combined with a primate trip to Rwanda.

  3. Amazon

    The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world, covering 2.3 million square miles in 9 countries including Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.

  4. Amboseli National Park

    The vast dry plains, acacia woodland, marshes and rich swamplands of Amboseli National Park are home to large herds of elephants, wildebeest, zebra and impala and over 400 species of birds.

  5. Andes

    The Andes are one of the highest mountain ranges in the world, stretching 4,500 miles from north to south and up to 300 miles wide in some parts.

  6. Arusha National Park

    This attractive park just outside Arusha is a hidden gem in northern Tanzania’s parks. Whilst most visitors flock to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, you can actually enjoy relatively quiet game viewing in Arusha National Park, with its stunning backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro.

  7. Atlas Mountains

    The Atlas Mountains are in northwest Africa covering Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. The two highest peaks are in Morocco - Mount Toubkal and Mount M'Goun.

  8. Augrabies Falls National Park

    Augrabies Falls National Park is about 120 km west of Upington in an arid area of the Northern Cape Province. It provides a sanctuary to a diversity of species, from birds and reptiles to springbok, gemsbok and giraffe.

  9. Azraq Reserve

    Azraq means blue in Arabic, and the name refers to the startling wetlands that stands out in the middle of the desert. Located in the heart of the Eastern Black Desert, Azraq Wetland Reserve is a large oasis of spring-fed marshes and pools, with seasonally flooded mudflats. Surrounded by arid desert, the Reserve is a haven for wildlife, providing sheleter for both endemic and migratory species.

  10. Bandhavgarh National Park

    Bandhavgarh National Park is one of India’s hidden natural treasures. It is remote and difficult to get to, but definitely worth the long journey. There is a good chance of seeing a tiger here, and that is just one of the highlights of this excellent park.
