About Mchenja Bush Camp

  • Close Panel

Mchenja Bush Camp is a seasonal camp on the banks of the Luangwa River. Four stylishly-designed walk in safari tents overlook the river and nestle under a grove of ancient ebony trees - Mchenja means ebony tree. Each tent has en-suite shower and inside bath. There is a main area under thatch, which houses the bar and lounge, although most meals are enjoyed under the canopy of the magnificent trees outside. The camp has a plunge pool, alongside the bar and lounge areas, where guests can relax.

Game drives and walking safaris are offered. The latter are not strenuous, generally lasting between 3 and 5 hours and are led by a fully qualified guide.

Pricing guidelines for Zambia

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £600 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless airlines have special offers). Zambia combines well with Malawi and Botswana.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
