Kapani Lodge

Kapani is an exclusive, privately owned lodge located on a lagoon in the game management area near the banks of the Luangwa River close to Mfuwe. The camp accommodates up to 20 guests on the 10 brick and thatch built rooms. All have high ceilings with fans and large gauzed windows. There are 8 standard suites with their own lounges and bar fridges and 2 Lagoon Houses which overlook the Kapani Lagoon and are perfect for honeymooners or guests requiring extra privacy.

The camp has a central thatched building housing the lounge and library. The bar and dining area overlooks the lagoon and offers a spacious area in which guests can relax and chat. There is a secluded swimming pool at the far end of the camp. The viewing deck has a telescope to enhance game and bird viewing. Meals are generally served out in the open, on the terrace, on the deck or by the swimming pool. A small gift shop sells books and local crafts.

From the camp guests can go on walking safaris with experienced guides and armed escorts - this is the best way to get 'up close and persoanl' to big game and is not to be missed. The camp also offers game drives, just after sunrise and just after sunset.
