Viewpoints

Sayari Camp - what a place! Wildebeest and zebra almost surrounded the tent - game viewing here was without doubt some of the best (November) at most we saw 3 other vehicles a day. The wildebeest even behaved and crossed the mara river! The staff at Sayari were the best of the whole holiday and made my birthday one to remember.

Situation

Sayari Camp is situated on the south bank of the famous Mara River in the northern Serengeti. This area has been almost untouched by tourists and even now, Sayari Camp is still the only permanent camp in the remote north-western Serengeti.

Game drives; bush meals.

Facilities

The 8 spacious ensuite tents blend perfectly into the majestic landscape. Each tent incorporates traditional cloth and furniture and has a king-size bed and a private veranda overlooking the Serengeti. The dining area, lounge area and campfire create a perfect bush setting.

Best times to go

Tanzania's main rainy season runs from April until the beginning of June. There is also a short rainy season in November. The northern Serengeti has great resident game but is at it's best when the Great Migration passes through ... generally June - July and November.
