Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge stands high above Lake Manyara and commands panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge has 67 circular, thatched ensuite rooms that echo the traditional Maasai 'Boma' style of construction. Inside they are vibrantly decorated to reflect the Maasai love of red and indigo and in the them of 'bird migration'. The circular dining room which seats 150 has outstanding views over the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Striking murals in the open-air bar area feature avian-inspired frescoes, and there are colourful Maasai artifacts and a unique domed basketwork ceiling.
Facilities at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge include laundry, valet, babysitting, and children’s menus and internet connectivity. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day. Beauty treatments and massage are available, and there is a gift shop and swimming pool. Rooms have fans and battery charging facilities.
The dramatic ‘vanishing horizon’ pool, which has received significant architectural acclaim, lies below the lodge, on the very edge of the escarpment with glorious views across the lake and the Great Rift Valley.
