The two lodges at Leeuwenbosch have an interesting history from the days of the early settlers. William Folds who was originally from Keighley in Yorkshire travelled to Africa by boat and into the interior by ox wagon with his young wife Sarah Green in 1857. Arriving in the Addo area he found employment as a wagon builder. Their eldest son bought Leeuwenbosch farm in 1873 and it has been handed down through the generations of the Folds family every since - the fifth generation are currently residing there and host you as their guests in the two lodges.
