Jan Harmsgat Guest Farm

Jan Harmsgat Guest Farm is an exclusive country bed and breakfast guest house on an historic farm in the beautiful Klein Karoo. It is located between the towns of Swellendam and Ashton. The spacious accommodation is in the farm's original slave quarters and consists of 4 large en-suite rooms with an adjoining lounge. Two loft rooms and the guest lounge boast expansive mountain views. Guests may relax by the swimming pool with a book from the library or explore the farm and surrounding wine routes, as well as museums and heritage sites in nearby Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa, and surrounding areas.

The Western Cape has a wealth of vineyards, many of which are currently undergoing a revival, which produce some of South Africa's finest wines and welcome visitors for wine tasting. Some of the attractions in the South West Cape include: the Robertson Wine Route, Montagu (with its hot mineral springs), the Breede River, Bontebok Park, Cape Agulhas and the De Hoop Nature Reserve (offering exceptional whale-watching in season).
