Floreal House

A lovely 4 star lodge in Cape Town with great views of table mountain, the harbour and the bay.  This is an impressive building, set in the back drop of Table Mountain in the Orangezicht area very close to the waterfront, clifton and Camps Bay.  The lodge dates to the 1920s with large airy rooms and big windows with sweeping views.

The lodge is surrounded by open parks, all of which have interesting histories of their own involving slave markets, botanical gardens and the former estates of manor houses of the original settlers of the Cape. The Gardens were established in 1652 to supply fresh vegetables to the VOC (Dutch East India Company) ships on their way to the Dutch colonies in the East.

With just nine rooms, personal and friendly service is top priority here.  There is a swimming pool and gardens which are home to a variety of birds and squirrels!  The rooms are all individually styled and en-suite, one of them has additional sleeping space and self catering facilities for families. All rooms are fitted with fans and heaters and tea/coffee - making facilities. Each room has a television and a mini-bar.

A full English breakfast is served every morning in the dining room or around the pool in the garden - there is also a range of fresh fruits, cold meats, cheeses and smoked salmon, as well as a range of cooked breakfasts. Light meals and snacks are available all day and dinner is available on request.

The lodge has private parking and 24 hour security.
