Ocean Vagabond hotel is located just 100 metres from the beach, and 200 metres from the medina of Essaouira. This recently opened boutique hotel provides one of the few Essaouira accommodation options that offers a pool, yet retains a little more individuality than the standard chain hotels.
The ground floor is very spacious, with large panoramic windows opening onto the garden where you will be able to enjoy the heated swimming pool. The terrace offers spectacular 360 degree vies of the medina, the harbour, and the bay. There is also a library on the living room's mezzanine, and a reading room at your disposal with comfortable leather easy chairs. Other facilities here include a 42-inch plasma screen with DVD player and satellite, a cosy bar in African colonial style, and several small areas at your disposal for relaxation. Wi-fi internet is available in the entire hotel.
The individually decorated rooms of the hotel are full of character, having been designed along a number of themes, and vibrant use of colour. This combines well with the tranquil greenery outside. The rooms open onto private terraces with excellent views. The 14 rooms are laid out on two floors. On the first floor a curved corridor serves three rooms with a view of the medina, and three rooms and a suite with an ocean view. The second floor corridor curves around five rooms; A small suite and a grand suite that dominates a breathtaking view of the port and beach of Essaouira. The rooms all have private bathrooms made out of natural marble and tadlakt with a bathtub. They are all equipped with a 20 inch LCD screen TV, international satellite channels, telephone, safe, minibar and room service. On the beach the Ocean Vagabond restaurant lounge and nautical base (800 metres from the hotel), offers water sports, healthy food and pleasant music, providing visitors an ideal place for socializing.
