A small friendly guest house deep in the forest on the slopes of Zomba Plateau.
Formerly called Kachere Forestry Resthouse, this colonial guesthouse is situated halfway up the mountain with its own private grounds. There are 4 simple but clean en suite rooms and offers a full menu of 3 meals a day and can provide packed lunches.
There is a spacious lounge/dining room with a fireplace. Outside the house sits in private gardens with views through the trees down the valley. It is an ideal spot to access the many hiking trails of the plateau as well as offering mountain biking, and excellent birdwatching. This resthouse is a good option for a group of 6 or 8 who could book out the whole lodge to ensure privacy.
