OPENING JULY 2008
Pumulani means 'place of rest', it is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a safari. It is on the west side of the Nankumba Peninsula at the southern end of Lake Malawi. This is the only lodge situated inside the Lake Malawi National Park, an area which is now a World Heritage Site and protects the endangered cichlid fish of the area.
The lodge is on a hillside with lovely views from the rooms. The main building has a dining room, bar and a large deck with views over the lake. There is a horizon swimming pool on a lower terraced deck.
The villa style rooms are huge and are privately seperated by rocks and trees. Each of the ten rooms has a bedroom, bathroom and sitting area with raised decks. Luxurious bathrooms contain both showers and baths.
There is a private beach and a bar on the beach for drinks and light snacks. There are also shady gardens for those wanting to escape the sun!
