Lujeri Lodge

Lujeri Lodge is located on a tea estate is located near to the base of Mt Mulanje an hour and a half south of Blantyre city. Lujeri is one of the oldest colonial tea estates in the area and the guest house, which is the old estate managers house, has a swimming pool as well as fantastic walks on offer around the estate. Take a drive to the base of Mt Mulanje to explore around the foothills and go swimming in the rock pools and waterfalls.

The Lujeri Lodge has 4 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. It sleeps 10 people. The house is equipped with all the basic needs and comes with all bed linen blankets, pillows, towels and mosquito nets. There are some really great spots to swim on the Estate. This includes the Blue Lagoon, Mbiya pools, and Hydro on the Minunu path. The grounds also have a  tennis court.

Porters can be hired from Lujeri to take you up Mulanje on the Minunu or Madzeka paths.

Tea Factory tours can be arranged in advance of your visit.  There are also some great places to visit in the neighbouring town including the Pizza Basilica Cafe which has a showroom for locally made furniture too.
