Kome Cave Village

At Ha Kome there is a village with cave dwellings carved under towering rocks.  The families that live there are descendents of the original people who build the 'caves' in the 19th century and the site is now a National Heritage Site.

There is a visitors centre at Ha Kome, explaining about the history and culture of the people.
