Walking in Laikipia

Walking in Laikipia is the best wqay to explore this lovely area with its stunning landscape and plentiful game. Accommodation is in simple but very comfortable mobile camps, with supplies and equipment carried by camels. The camp team will attend to you throughout the expedition. The camp sites are attractive and guests are well looked after with great food and cool sundowners.

Setting out after an early breakfast you'll walk for a few hours through mixed landscapes with opportunities to view a variety of game. Lunch is a sumptuous affair after which you can relax and soak up the atmosphere of the African bush before heading out in late afternoon for the next camp. This is undoubtedly the best way to get close to nature in the wilds of Africa. You will also learn much about the local culture and way of life as you talk to your guides during the day.

Pricing guidelines for Kenya

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £400 to £800 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Kenya combines well with Tanzania or Uganda.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
