About Ajit Bahwan

  • Close Panel

Ajit Bhawan was built for Maharaja Ajit Singh, the younger brother of the maharajah of Jodhpur and is still owned and run as a Heritage Hotel by the same family. Built of red sandstone, this impressive1940’s structure has arched windows, carved balconies and cupolas adding to its rugged beauty.

Lying behind the palatial Ajit Bhawan is a charming village complex, with each room in a seperate cottage. Nestling in a rustic and lush green setting, the bungalows are named after the months and zodiac signs of the Indian calendar. Each cottage has been furnished in ethnic Rajasthani style and no two are the same.

Well-maintained lawns and thick shady trees make this village complex a haven for birds and humans alike. Other facilities available at the palace include a bar, large swimming pool and barbecue restaurant.

Pricing guidelines for India

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £450 to £700 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). India combines well with Nepal.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
