About Hotel Carvallo

  • Close Panel

Hotel Carvallo was built in 1917, a handsome 3 storey colonial townhouse in historic Cuenca, which has recently been thoroughly restored to provide beautiful guest accommodation. First opening as a hotel in 2002, the building features a spacious atruim lobby and 3 internal courtyards, around which the guest rooms open. All rooms are thoughtfully decorated and have modern amenities including TV, 'phone, minibar and hair dryer. All have a small but well appointed bathroom. There is also a spacious honeymoon suite. Some rooms have wonderful views out over the city.

The hotel has a cafe where breakfast is served each morning. There are also 2 elegant salons where guests can relax in comfort and style. The hotel has connections with the popular Eucalyptus Restaurant which is situated just across the road. For guests too tired to venture out the restaurant will even deliver meals to your room! The hotel has limited room service and offers a laundry service.

Hotel Carvallo is perfectly positioned for exploring the delights of Cuenca, the third largest city in Ecuador, known for its historic buildings, narrow cobbled streets and elegant plazas. There are also plenty of museums, a cathedral and churches to visit.

Pricing guidelines for Ecuador

  • Open Panel

We hope the following will give you a rough idea of costs. These are quoted per person based on twin share for two people, without international flights but including internal flights. We’ve used good standard accommodation throughout. There are nearly always ways to spend more money than we’ve suggested (!), but these prices show a good and realistic range for each type of trip.

International flights will add from about £750 to £1000 depending on the season and route (unless the airlines have special offers). Ecuador combines very well with Peru, but can also be linked with Brazil.

For a specific personal quote based on any tailor made itinerary you have in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help you.
