Corcovado

Corcovado is a hunch-backed peak which rises 710 metres above Rio de Janeiro. Atop this peak is the 38 metre statue of Christ the Redeemer (O Cristo Redentor), probably Rio's most famous landmark. There is a superb view from the top, although it is sometimes obscured by mist.
