La Maison

La Maison is a French-owned guest house located in the forested Gavea district overlooking Rio, about 5 - 10– minutes by taxi from the beaches and restaurants. There are 5 individually decorated ensuite rooms representing themes from different continents. All rooms have ceiling fans or air conditioning, and either a terrace or a patio. There is no TV or minibar in the rooms to encourage guests to relax, escape from the outside world and spend more time in the spacious lounge, dining room, by the outdoor pool or in the garden. La Maison also has a small sauna. Breakfast only is served, but snacks are available on request. Adventurous guests can visit the market accompanied by a member of staff and cook a meal together accompanied by a nice wine!
