Jacana Camp is a small and cosy camp set in a wetland area densely populated by game. The camp consists of 5 meru-style tents which accommodate a maximum of just 8 guests at a time. Each tent is set on a wooden deck overlooking the floodplains and has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and shower. The dining area is set up high on a wooden deck surrounded by date palms. There is also a bar and lounge area around an open fire.
Activities offered at Jacana Camp include mokoro trips through the waterways, guided walking safaris and game drives in 4x4 vehicles. The camp is set in the most densely populated wetland area for Sitatunga Antelope and Red Lechwe. Hippos and crocodiles are regularly seen. In the dry season tsessebe, elephant, wildebeest and zebra occur here, and lions, cheetah and leopard are often seen on the floodplains. This is an area of prime importance for a host of wetland bird species.
